Decathlon CMA CGM Team

Vincent Lavenu founded the squad in 1992 with Chazal as its title sponsor, and it ran as Petit Casino in 1996 before the insurer AG2R first appeared in the name in 1997. AG2R stayed in it until the end of 2025, through AG2R Prévoyance from 2000, AG2R La Mondiale from 2008, AG2R Citroën Team from 2021 and Decathlon-AG2R La Mondiale from 2024. The shipping group CMA CGM replaced AG2R as co-title sponsor for 2026.

Jaan Kirsipuu and Alexander Vinokourov both rode for the squad in the Casino years at the end of the 1990s. The team joined the UCI ProTour in 2006, and the Tour de France is where its record has been made: Cyril Dessel took the yellow jersey in 2006, Rinaldo Nocentini held it for eight stages in 2009, and Jean-Christophe Péraud finished second overall in 2014, behind Vincenzo Nibali and ahead of Thibaut Pinot.

Romain Bardet was the rider the Tour ambitions were built around in the second half of the 2010s. He finished second in 2016, winning stage 19 to Saint-Gervais-les-Bains, and third in 2017 with a stage win at Peyragudes, and left after 2020. A cobbled-classics wing ran alongside the climbers in the same years, and Silvan Dillier followed Peter Sagan to the Roubaix velodrome in 2018 and finished second.

Benoît Cosnefroy won the under-23 world road race title in 2017 and turned professional with the team the following year. Ben O'Connor soloed to the stage nine win at Tignes in 2021 and took fourth overall, and Felix Gall won stage 17 at Courchevel in 2023 on the way to eighth.

Lavenu ran the team from its founding until the end of 2024, when Dominique Serieys took over as general manager. Decathlon signed as co-title sponsor in November 2023, bringing its Van Rysel brand in as bike supplier in place of BMC, and it also backs the team's development squad.
