Tour Auvergne - Rhône-Alpes
Formerly known as the Critérium du Dauphiné, this prestigious 78th edition marks its rebranding to reflect its expanded reach across the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. As a primary precursor to the Tour de France, it features a brutal Alpine route, including a critical team time trial and iconic summit finishes like the Grand Colombier.

Stage 8 covered 120.1 km with four major climbs: Col du Pré, Montée de Bisanne, Col des Aravis and the 11.3 km ascent to Plateau de Solaison.
