Tudor Pro Cycling reunites Cancellara with Sportful for 2026 following Assos split

Fabian Cancellara taps into his racing heritage by switching the Swiss team to Sportful for the upcoming season. Meanwhile, outgoing partner Assos appears poised to replace Rapha at EF Education-EasyPost following social media leaks.

Tudor Pro Cycling has confirmed a multi-year technical partnership with Italian apparel manufacturer Sportful, effective January 2026. The deal marks a significant shift for the Swiss squad, ending their tenure with Assos to reunite team owner Fabian Cancellara with the brand that clothed him during his Saxo Bank years, including his dominant 2010 campaign.

For Cancellara, the move is as much about provenance as it is performance. "Sportful has been part of some of the most defining moments of my career, especially the 2010 season," Cancellara said in the announcement. "To bring that history into the future with Tudor Pro Cycling feels incredibly special. We’re not just reconnecting with a brand; we’re building on shared experience and trust."

This partnership arrives at a pivotal moment. Following a successful 2025 season that saw a Tour de France debut and a victory at the Grand Prix Cycliste de Québec for Julian Alaphilippe (Tudor Pro Cycling), the team is solidifying its WorldTour ambitions.

The collaboration promises what the brand calls aerodynamic and thermoregulation "breakthroughs", with Sportful’s engineers working directly with riders like Alaphilippe and Marc Hirschi to refine kit for high-intensity racing.

While Tudor looks to the Dolomites, their outgoing partner Assos appears to remain firmly in the professional peloton. Industry observation and social media leaks suggest the Swiss manufacturer is set to replace Rapha at EF Education-EasyPost.

Rapha’s departure from the American squad after 2025 has been public knowledge, but the destination of the team’s next contract has been the subject of speculation. Recent images from training rides have inadvertently shown EF riders wearing Assos-branded equipment, all but confirming the switch for 2026.
