INEOS Grenadiers have doubled down on continuity for their post‑Geraint Thomas era, announcing five contract extensions at their first 2026 training camp on 5 December.
Michal Kwiatkowski (INEOS Grenadiers) has signed a three‑year deal through 2028, tying one of the last links to the Sky years to the team for what will be his 13th season in red and black. “It feels natural to stay. I love the atmosphere, the people and the way we work,” he said. “I am not here to stay in my comfort zone, I am here because this is where I push myself every day.”
Ben Swift (INEOS Grenadiers) goes into an 18th professional season after agreeing a one‑year extension. “This team has been such a big part of my life and to head into an 18th season as a pro is fantastic,” the double British champion said.
Lucas Hamilton (INEOS Grenadiers) is rewarded for a strong first year with a two‑year deal to 2027. “After a year, it genuinely feels like home,” the Australian climber said. Kim Heiduk (INEOS Grenadiers) and Brandon Rivera (INEOS Grenadiers) each stay on one‑year terms, both speaking of the “family” feeling and fresh opportunities.
Director of racing Geraint Thomas (INEOS Grenadiers) hailed the quintet, saying: “It is brilliant to have these five lads continue with us. They all bring something a bit different.”
After 28 wins and 8th place in the 2025 WorldTour rankings, the renewals signal a clear plan: lock in trusted lieutenants around rising leaders such as Carlos Rodríguez, Thymen Arensman and new signing Kévin Vauquelin, complementing the experienced brains coming in behind the wheel that we detailed in our look at INEOS’s revamped leadership.
