Team Visma | Lease a Bike have signed a new partnership with Italian e-commerce platform Bikeroom, opening up direct global sales of the squad’s ex-race bikes to fans and collectors.

Announced on 24 December, the deal will see Visma’s team-issue machines listed on Bikeroom alongside other high-end new and certified pre-owned models, with the platform handling authentication, logistics and traceability.

Sven van der Lugt, the team’s head of partnerships and new business, described the move as a way to connect supporters more closely with the equipment used in the WorldTour.

"Through our partnership with Bikeroom, fans get the chance to experience cycling on the same high-quality equipment our riders use. It is a unique opportunity to get a piece of our sporting history in their hands," Van der Lugt said in the team’s announcement.

Founded in Italy, Bikeroom specialises in the upper end of the market, acting as a tightly curated marketplace for premium road, gravel and mountain bikes. Every bike sold through the platform is inspected and certified, with documented provenance.

Co-founders Denis Moretti and Matteo Maruzzi said their aim is to make top-tier bikes more attainable. “Our mission is to bring people’s dream bike within reach. Through our collaboration with Team Visma | Lease a Bike, we can now offer fans a bike from one of the most successful cycling teams,” they stated.

The partnership also formalises a process that has traditionally been handled through Visma's own website – and more recently with third parties such as MatchWornShirt – centralising Visma’s outgoing fleet as it refreshes its bikes each season.

Bikeroom, which raised €3 million in venture funding in August 2025 to support international expansion and upgrade its logistics network, will list Visma’s stock to a global audience, with more bikes expected to appear as they are phased out of race use.
