CANYON//SRAM

Ronny Lauke founded the squad in 2016, after Velocio-SRAM folded at the end of 2015. He had worked inside that structure through its earlier incarnations as T-Mobile, HTC-Highroad Women and Specialized-lululemon, so the new team started with staff and riders already in place. It registered in Germany, took its bikes from Canyon and its groupsets from SRAM, and took its clothing from the British brand Rapha.

The licence moved up in 2020, when the squad joined the Women's WorldTeam tier as it was introduced. zondacrypto came in as a third title sponsor for 2025 and the team raced that season as CANYON//SRAM zondacrypto, before the name returned to CANYON//SRAM for 2026.

The 2018 world championships at Innsbruck brought the team its first world title, with Alena Amialiusik, Alice Barnes, Hannah Barnes, Elena Cecchini, Lisa Klein and Trixi Worrack winning the team time trial by 22 seconds from Boels-Dolmans. It was the last running of the trade-team event, which the mixed team relay replaced from 2019.

Katarzyna Niewiadoma joined from WM3 Energie for 2018 and won Trofeo Alfredo Binda in her first season with the squad, then the Amstel Gold Race in 2019 and La Flèche Wallonne in 2024. She won the Tour de France Femmes that August, the race ending on Alpe d'Huez with four seconds between her and Demi Vollering. She had finished third overall in 2022 and 2023, and was third again in 2025.

From its first year the team offered a contract to the winner of the Zwift Academy, an online talent search staged on the indoor training platform, which took Leah Thorvilson onto the roster for 2017, Tanja Erath for 2018 and Ella Harris for 2019. A development squad, CANYON//SRAM Generation, followed in 2022, racing at UCI continental level as a route into the senior team.
