Europe's highest ski resort, at the head of the Belleville valley above Moûtiers — a long, high summit finish. Colombia's Nelson Rodríguez won the first Tour stage here in 1994, one of the highest finishes in the race's history.

Won by Vincenzo Nibali (ITA)
The final Alpine stage was slashed to 59 km after a landslide damaged the route; on the shortened haul Nibali attacked and soloed to the win, while Egan Bernal safely defended yellow to become the first Colombian to win the Tour.
