Won by Luc Leblanc (FRA)
In cold rain, race leader Stéphane Heulot abandoned in the yellow jersey on the Cormet de Roselend; Leblanc won the summit finish at Les Arcs while Evgeni Berzin inherited the lead — the day the eventual winner Bjarne Riis first showed his hand.
