GreenEDGE Cycling launched a women's squad in 2012, alongside the men's team it set up in the same year, with backing from the Australian businessman Gerry Ryan and in partnership with the Australian Institute of Sport. The squad rode its first season as GreenEDGE-AIS, built around an Australian core, and took a Women's WorldTeam licence in 2020 when the UCI introduced a top tier for women's racing.
The team then raced as Orica-AIS from 2013 to 2016, Orica-Scott in 2017, Mitchelton-Scott from 2018 to 2020, Team BikeExchange in 2021 and Team BikeExchange-Jayco in 2022. It became Team Jayco-AlUla for 2023 and Liv-AlUla-Jayco in 2024, when Liv, the women's brand of the bike manufacturer Giant, moved up from equipment supplier to title sponsor.
Judith Arndt closed her career with the squad in 2012, winning the Ladies Tour of Qatar overall. Emma Johansson led it through the Orica-AIS years, taking the Emakumeen Euskal Bira and the Thüringen Rundfahrt in 2013 and the Belgium Tour in 2015, and Katrin Garfoot won the Women's Tour Down Under in 2016.
Annemiek van Vleuten rode for the team from 2016 to 2020. She won the Giro Rosa overall in 2018 and 2019, Strade Bianche in 2019 and 2020, and Omloop Het Nieuwsblad in 2020, before leaving for Movistar. Amanda Spratt, on the roster from the opening season through 2022, won the Women's Tour Down Under in 2017, 2018 and 2019, and Grace Brown took Brabantse Pijl in 2020 and Classic Brugge-De Panne in 2021.
Liv Racing TeqFind was folded into the squad for 2024, bringing riders including Mavi García and Rachele Barbieri, and a Continental development team was set up alongside it to feed the WorldTeam. Ruby Roseman-Gannon won the Australian road race title in 2024, and Georgia Baker and Josie Talbot each took a stage at the Tour of Chongming Island in 2025.
