Tour of Chongming Island

The Tour of Chongming Island is a three-day, UCI Women's WorldTour stage race held annually on Chongming Island, part of the Shanghai municipality in China. Known widely as a 'sprinters' paradise,' the race features predominantly flat and exposed roads across the Yangtze estuary, which often leads to fast, high-speed bunch finishes. The coastal location means unpredictable winds can play a key role in the race, rewarding tactical teamwork and echelon formation.
