The squad grew out of Tour de Tietema, a Dutch cycling YouTube channel run by Bas Tietema, Josse Wester and Devin van der Wiel. The three set up an amateur team under that name in 2021 to see whether they could win local races, then registered it as a UCI Continental outfit for 2023 with the bookmaker Unibet as title sponsor. Tietema, a professional again by then, rode for it himself in that first season.
It has changed name twice since. The team raced as TDT-Unibet through 2023 and 2024, became Unibet Tietema Rockets for 2025 when it swapped its Dutch registration for a French licence, and took the name Unibet Rose Rockets for 2026 after a supply deal with the German bike manufacturer Rose. It stepped up from Continental to UCI ProTeam level for the 2024 season, having said on application that the aim was a Tour de France debut.
Early wins came in small races. Hartthijs de Vries won the 2023 Kreiz Breizh Elites and Adrien Maire took the 2024 Oberösterreich Rundfahrt, both while the team was still riding as TDT-Unibet. The ProTeam licence opened up the calendar, and in 2025 the squad rode Amstel Gold Race and Paris-Roubaix on wildcards. Lander Loockx won Paris-Camembert that April, and Lukáš Kubiš won the Cholet Agglo Tour and the Slovak road race title in the same season.
Recruitment for 2026 changed the profile of the roster. Dylan Groenewegen signed a two-year deal from Jayco AlUla during 2025 and brought his lead-out man Elmar Reinders with him, while Wout Poels and Victor Lafay joined for the same season. The team was open about the reasoning: a squad assembled around a proven sprinter and a French contingent, built to argue for the Tour de France wildcard it had been chasing since it turned ProTeam.
