Telenet Superprestige - Vlaamse Druivencross

Amandine Fouquenet led the early laps before a seven-rider group formed at the front. Aniek van Alphen attacked on lap three, but Lucinda Brand countered on the climbs and took control.

Brand rode clear alone and kept building her lead to win the opening round of the Superprestige series in Overijse. It was her third career victory in the Vlaamse Druivencross.

Behind Brand, van Alphen and Inge van der Heijden fought for the podium places. Ceylin del Carmen Alvarado struggled after a poor start and finished eighth.

Michael Vanthourenhout recovered from a poor start and won solo in Overijse, taking his third career victory at the Vlaamse Druivencross. He attacked on the penultimate lap and quickly opened a clear lead.

The race stayed tightly packed early, with Cameron Mason leading off the line and Gerben Kuypers driving the pace. Kuypers’ late attack ended with a heavy crash, and Joran Wyseure also went down behind him.

Meeussen and Vandeputte filled the podium after Vanthourenhout’s decisive move settled the race. Kuypers, Mason and Kuhn were all in the chase before the finish, but no one could close the gap.
