La Rando des Marmottes

La Rando des Marmottes is a two-day cycling event held over the same weekend as the main Granfondo, offering participants the chance to enjoy the legendary Alpine route without the pressure of a time trial. The event is split into two stages, covering approximately 97 km on day one and 80 km on day two, totalling 5,000m of elevation gain over the two days. The split itinerary allows riders to better appreciate the scenery of the Oisans and Maurienne valleys, the Col du Galibier, and Alpe d'Huez. It is often used as a reconnaissance ride for cyclists planning to tackle the full Granfondo in the future, providing a more relaxed but still challenging experience. The Rando option is open to e-bikes and road bikes.
